Established in 1845 with sites across Manchester for soap and other chemical production, the East Lancashire Chemical Company remains family owned and managed today. Soda Crystal production began around 1900, and grew to become a multi hundred thousand tonne industry. Soda Crystals and Soap were the two main products employed on 'wash day'. Our production is based in Manchester, England, and supplies are distributed all over Europe and as far afield as North America, China, South Korea, New Zealand and the Middle East.
